Do medical schools care about your college course load each semester or do they only care that you’ve completed the pre-medical prerequisites? What I want to know is would someone who took a full load of difficult classes each semester/term be chosen over someone who just completed the minimum prerequisites and spaced them out?

I was granted a Pell grant of $2365.00 for spring semester. They paid for my classes and deposited $841 into my account last week. That leaves $1,182.00 what happens to that? I did read My Disbursements letter and states if I’m going to school half time not full time that they deposit half of my grant but what happens to the other half? I’m going to go to summer college too does that cover my summer too or what happens?

I think it is terrible what happened to those college students.

I also think that the shooter must have had pretty bad life experiences. He must have been hurt many times by others. I read some of the things other students had said about him. He was a loner and felt that he didn’t exist. He left a question mark beside his name whenever he signed the attention sheet.

People should take other peoples feelings into consideration before something like this happens. Always spread love, not hate. When you see someone in pain or someone who feels alone, make them feel like they are appreciated. A few words of acknowlegdement and kindness DO make a difference. I don’t believe in the anti-social personality. I think people cause people to go over the edge. Life can be beautiful if we accepted each other and not judged one another.

I’m so stressed out about which major to stick with and I have to decide really soon. I’m stressed out what career to do. When you think about that its going to be something you do for like 40 years…nothing sounds fun. When I have classes I’m always stressed about the tests and all the financial aid stuff when it comes time to do it. How can I stop stressing out about college?

I’m about to get my AA degree in Arts from my community college in the fall and I will be transferring to a university in the spring. I’m hoping to graduate with a 3.5 cumulative GPA or higher. Do you know if I can apply to be in an honors program at a university? Or do you have to be in honors from the beginning? Thanks!

So like I said I am a college student in New Jersey and I also am declared as a dependent on my parent’s tax returns. I just got my first check from a new job I started and found that I am paying about 35% of my income in taxes. Isn’t that ridiculously high for a college student? Am i getting a bad deal?

I might be transferring to a different college in the fall of 2008. I would have to leave my job if i went to a different college because it is in a different state . As of right now the department that I work in is short handed. Can my boss hold me back from leaving the department that I work in if they don’t hire anybody else by the time I would have to leave for college?
Can I call human resources about this?
