Can you be eligible for a Pell Grant even though you have earned a bachelors degree?

Pell Grant

I’m working on my 2nd bachelors, didn’t receive a pell grant last year when i started working on the 2nd degree. Now, I just emailed my school to see if I was eligible for aid and when I would receive my award letter. I got a response saying I was eligible for a pell grant and other aid. What’s this all about? I didn’t think you were.? Are there new rules about pell grants this year?

No, no new rules. It is a mistake.
You won’t get the pell. Most people don’t go back for a second bachelors after they already have one and it will take your schools fin aid office a bit for them to realize their mistake. When they do, they’ll let you know. In the mean time, if they try to award you one you need to remind them you have a bachelor’s degree.
